Karnataka HC Refuses to Quash POCSO Case Against Ex-CM Yediyurappa
A high court in India decided that a former leader, Mr. Yediyurappa, must face a legal case under a law designed to protect children.
He is accused of a sexual assault against a young girl in February.
His lawyers argued the case was fake and politically motivated.
They also said he shouldn't have to attend every court meeting in person.
The court agreed that he might not need to be there for every step unless it's very important.
The court also said he can ask the lower court to dismiss the case later.
The former leader denies the accusation, stating he was only trying to help the family.
The court's decision means the case will continue, but with some flexibility for Mr. Yediyurappa regarding his court appearances.
The Karnataka High Court has refused to quash a POCSO case against former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa.

The court directed that Yediyurappa's personal appearance should not be insisted upon unless necessary during the trial.
