Indian Railways Plans Two New Lines on Delhi-Ambala Route

Indian Railways wants to build two more railway tracks between Delhi Subjimandi and Ambala Cantt.

The route currently has two tracks for passenger and freight trains.

The new tracks would make four tracks in total.

Northern Railway has invited companies to bid for the construction work.

The tender is worth about Rs 3,612.57 crore.

The entire project has an approved cost of Rs 5,983 crore.

It will cover about 194 kilometers.
