Education Ministry Proposes Common Boards in Select States
The Education Ministry wants some states to use the same exam boards for 10th and 12th grade to help students do better.
They noticed that students in some states were failing more often, and they think having common boards could help.
The states involved are Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Kerala, Manipur, Odisha, Telangana, and West Bengal.
They hope this makes the exams, classes, and how kids move up to the next grade the same for everyone.
Some places like Kerala already have this, and their students do very well.
Education Ministry recommends common boards for Classes 10th and 12th in seven states.
The recommendation follows analysis revealing high failure rates in those states.

Officials cited poor academic outcomes and the need for standardization.
Kerala, Odisha, and Manipur, with integrated systems, recorded high pass rates.
