Odisha Man Walks Again After Complex AIIMS Surgeries
A man named Biswa Bhushan Rout from Odisha had a very serious condition where his spine and hips were completely fused together.
This made it really hard for him to walk, sit, or even sleep.
Many hospitals were scared to operate on him because it was very risky, and he couldn't afford expensive private treatment.
But then, doctors at AIIMS Bhubaneswar agreed to help him.
They did some very complicated surgeries using special tools.
Now, Rout can stand, walk, and even look straight ahead.
The best part is that he didn't have to pay anything for the treatment because of a special government scheme called Ayushman Bharat.
This has given him a new lease on life!
Biswa Bhushan Rout had severe spine and hip fusion, making daily activities extremely difficult.
AIIMS Bhubaneswar successfully performed complex surgeries including bilateral hip replacement and spinal deformity correction.
The surgeries were done using advanced equipment like Neuromonitoring and Surgical Microscope.
Rout received treatment free of cost under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
After the surgeries, Rout can now sit, stand, walk, squat, and look straight ahead.
