Delhi Health Minister Orders Ventilator Status Report
The Delhi Health Minister is checking if the breathing machines (ventilators) in government hospitals are working properly.
This is because a news report said that many of the ventilators in one of the biggest hospitals in Delhi weren't working.
The Health Minister has told all the hospital bosses to send him a report right away, telling him what's happening with all the ventilators.
This is to make sure that patients who need help breathing can get it.
Delhi Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Singh has requested a report on the status of ventilators in government hospitals.
The request follows a report by The Indian Express on August 14.
The Indian Express report highlighted that only one out of 15 ventilators was functional in the neurosurgery department of Lok Nayak Hospital.
