Mumbai: BMC Collects and Processes Sanitary Waste in May
Mumbai's city government, the BMC, is helping to safely get rid of used sanitary items like pads and diapers.
In May, they picked up about 7 tonnes of this kind of waste from places like homes and schools that signed up for the service.
The waste is taken to special plants that burn it safely.
People can sign up using a QR code.
This is to make sure that this waste doesn't cause health problems or hurt the environment, and it will be mandatory soon.
