Heavy Rains Trigger Mudslides, Damage Kannur National Highway Wall

Heavy rain fell in parts of Kannur district in Kerala.

The rain caused mud and rocks to slide down hillsides.

A protection wall at a National Highway construction site in Elayavoor collapsed.

Another mudslide near Palchuram blocked or disrupted traffic.

Workers and emergency teams went to the affected places.

Officials told people to stay alert because more mudslides could happen.

They also asked visitors and unnecessary vehicles not to go there.

Weather officials warned that several Kerala districts could receive heavy rain.
