Prince Andrew Asked to Testify in US Congress Over Epstein Ties
Imagine some grown-ups in America who are like detectives for the government.
They are trying to figure out all the bad things a man named Jeffrey Epstein did.
They think a prince from England, named Andrew, might know something important because he was friends with Epstein.
So, these detectives sent a letter asking Prince Andrew to talk to them and answer questions.
This happened around the same time Prince Andrew lost his royal titles because of his connection to Epstein.
Prince Andrew has said he didn't do anything wrong when a woman named Virginia Giuffre accused him of bad behavior.
Even though the detectives want to talk to him, they can't force him because he lives in England.
He hasn't said if he will talk to them yet.
US lawmakers have asked Prince Andrew to give a transcribed interview about his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
The request comes as King Charles III has formally stripped Prince Andrew of his royal titles.
The House of Representatives oversight committee is investigating Epstein's alleged co-conspirators and enablers.
Prince Andrew has denied allegations of sexual abuse made by Virginia Giuffre and previously settled a lawsuit with her.
US Congress's inability to compel testimony from foreigners makes Prince Andrew's appearance unlikely.
