Modi Tops Trump’s G20 Meeting List as Trade Deal Nears
The G20 Summit will take place in Florida in December.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend.
A US ambassador said Donald Trump especially wants to meet Modi there.
The meeting could be more than just a large group gathering.
It might also include a separate conversation between the two leaders.
The United States and India are still negotiating a trade deal.
The ambassador said the deal is now very close, although the negotiations are taking time.
More senior US officials are expected to visit India soon.
