Salt Lake to Get More Than 200 Fruit Trees
The city of Salt Lake is getting a makeover with more than 200 new fruit trees!
The local government wants to make the city greener and safer.
They'll be planting trees like mango and guava along roads and in parks.
This is because tall trees have caused accidents in the past, so the city is switching to smaller fruit trees.
They are also checking the health of the taller trees and will remove or trim any that are dangerous.
This should make Salt Lake a more pleasant place to live, with more shade and maybe even some tasty fruit!
The Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation (BMC) will plant over 200 fruit trees in Salt Lake.
Varieties include mango, rose apple, guava, and sapota.
Planting locations will be along roads and in parks.
The decision aims to increase greenery and improve urban planning.
A survey is underway to identify and address potentially hazardous tall trees.
