Singapore Exchange Securities Rebrands as SGX Stock Exchange

The Singapore Exchange Securities has changed its name to SGX Stock Exchange.

This happened on Monday, which was also the 60th anniversary of the Straits Times Index.

The CEO, Loh Boon Chye, said this change shows how important the exchange is for Singapore's financial growth.

The stock market in Singapore is doing well, with the Straits Times Index going up by more than 25% last year.

The total value of all the companies listed on SGX is now over $1 trillion.

There were also a lot of new companies starting to sell stocks, raising over $2.4 billion.

The government has been helping with a $5 billion program to make the stock market stronger.

They say everyone needs to keep working hard to keep this growth going.
