Manjunath Criticizes Suspension Withdrawal of BJP MLAs
A former politician named Ayanur Manjunath is upset about the decision to let 18 BJP politicians back into the assembly.
He says it wasn't done the right way because the rules weren't followed.
He believes the vote should have happened in the main meeting of the assembly, not in a smaller meeting.
He claims that the Speaker could only have made the rules less strict, but not completely undone the suspension.
He says it sets a bad example.
Former legislator Ayanur Manjunath called the withdrawal of suspension of 18 BJP MLAs unconstitutional.
Manjunath stated that the decision should have been made on the floor of the House.
He argued that the decision was not taken as per the rules of the House proceedings.
Manjunath said that a meeting of the Speaker, CM, Deputy CM, and Leader of Opposition cannot make this decision.
He suggested that the Speaker could have relaxed the conditions but not withdrawn the decision.
