Central Delhi Police Apprehend 105 Minors in Gang Crackdown
Imagine some cities have neighborhoods where kids, who are still too young to be adults, start forming gangs.
These young people were getting into trouble, like fighting or even using knives.
The police in one part of a city called Central Delhi noticed this was happening a lot.
So, starting in June, they decided to do something about it.
They figured out which gangs were involved and learned that most of the kids were between 13 and 17 years old.
Since then, they've talked to and caught over 100 of these young people.
They are also trying to help them by talking to their parents, getting them involved in sports, and making sure they get good guidance.
The police want to stop the bad behavior and help these kids find better things to do.
Central Delhi Police have apprehended 105 minors involved in gang activities since June.
Four specific gangs—MJ gang, 78, Sarkar, and Bhagat Singh gang—operate in Anand Parbat and Patel Nagar, with members aged 13-17.
Police have opened 66 'pink files' for habitual juvenile offenders and sent 31 to observation homes.
Authorities are addressing juvenile crime through enforcement, background analysis, parental counseling, and planned sports activities.
Efforts include rehabilitation through professional counseling, mentorship, and support for parents to lead normal lives.
