Andhra-Telangana Water Dispute Escalates Over RLIP

Andhra-Telangana Water Dispute Escalates Over RLIP

There's a big argument between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana about a water project called the Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Project (RLIP).

The Telangana Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy, said he asked Andhra Pradesh to stop the project.

But Andhra Pradesh says the project was stopped because of legal and environmental issues, not because of any deal.

The YSRCP, the opposition party in Andhra Pradesh, is very upset and says the current government is betraying the people who need water.

The Andhra Pradesh government says they won't give up on the project and want to work together with Telangana for the benefit of both states.
