Undocumented Migrants Found in Hay Bales During Texas Traffic Stop
Imagine a truck carrying hay bales.
But, instead of hay, some of the bales had secret compartments.
Inside these compartments, law enforcement found twelve people who were trying to cross the border illegally.
The truck was stopped by a police officer in Texas.
The driver and two other people were arrested and charged with smuggling the people.
The migrants were taken into custody by immigration officials.
This kind of smuggling is very dangerous because the compartments are small and not safe for people.
A traffic stop near Flatonia, Texas led to the discovery of 12 undocumented migrants.
The migrants were hidden inside modified hay bales.
The driver, Delbert Flanders, was arrested on state and federal smuggling charges.
Two organizers, Adanaylo Lambert and Lency Delgado Fernandez, were also apprehended.
The undocumented individuals were transferred to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
