Punjab Police Constable Selected for IAF Officer's Commission
A young man named Gursimran Singh Bains, who works as a police officer in Punjab, has been chosen to become a pilot in the Indian Air Force.
He studied for his degree online and tried four times to pass a special test before he succeeded.
A retired army officer helped him prepare.
The police chief is very happy and proud of him.
Two other police officers from Punjab were also chosen to join the army earlier this year.
They all worked hard to achieve their dreams.
Gursimran Singh Bains, a 22-year-old Punjab Police constable, was recommended for the Flying Branch of the IAF after clearing the SSB interview.
Bains completed his Bachelor of Arts degree through distance education from Panjab University.
He was mentored by Major General (Retd) Yash Mor, who advised him to stay authentic and genuine.
Punjab's Director General of Police, Gaurav Yadav, congratulated Bains and encouraged young personnel to aim for higher positions.
Two other Punjab Police constables, Anmol Sharma and Lovepreet Singh, were previously selected for commissioned officer roles in the Indian Army in March 2024.
