Nations Pledge Emergency Financial Aid for Palestinian Authority
Several countries have decided to give money to help the Palestinian Authority, which is like a government for Palestinians.
This money is meant to help them with their money problems so they can keep doing important jobs.
These jobs include running the government, providing essential services, and maintaining security.
Norway, leading the charge, announced its contribution of about $4 million.
The nations involved are also asking Israel to give the PA money that they believe belongs to them.
The goal is to ensure the PA can continue operating smoothly during a difficult financial period.
This is being done through an Emergency Coalition for the Financial Sustainability of the Palestinian Authority.
A group of nations agreed to an emergency financial aid package.
The initiative is called the Emergency Coalition for the Financial Sustainability of the Palestinian Authority.
Norway contributed 40 million Norwegian crowns ($4.0 million).
The aid aims to stabilize the PA's finances and preserve its ability to govern.
Participating nations have also called on Israel to release funds to the PA.
