Saudi Industrial Production Surges to Highest Level Since 2022
Saudi Arabia's factories are making more stuff than they have in a while, especially in things like oil and chemicals.
In June 2025, the country made more products compared to the same time last year.
This growth includes more oil being taken out of the ground and more goods being made in factories.
Even without oil, other businesses are doing well too.
This is all part of Saudi Arabia's plan to not rely only on oil sales, aiming for a stronger economy.
Saudi Arabia's industrial production surged to its highest level since late 2022.
The Industrial Production Index (IPI) for June 2025 hit 111.9, up 1.6% from the previous month.
Manufacturing activities jumped by 11.1% year-on-year, with refined petroleum and chemicals leading.
Oil production increased to 9.36 million barrels per day in June.
The non-oil sector grew by 8.6% in June, supporting economic diversification.
