SBI Card to End Air Accident Insurance on Co-Branded Credit Cards
SBI Card is stopping free air accident insurance on some of their credit cards.
This means if you have a certain co-branded credit card and you're in an airplane accident, you might not get the insurance money that used to come with your card.
This change impacts cards partnered with banks like UCO Bank and Central Bank of India, among others.
They previously offered free insurance of either ₹1 crore or ₹50 lakh.
Also, SBI Card already removed this insurance from their own premium cards.
If you have these cards, you may want to buy separate insurance to stay protected.
SBI Card will discontinue complimentary air accident insurance on several co-branded credit cards.
The air accident insurance cover of up to ₹1 crore is being withdrawn on specific card variants.
Customers holding ELITE and PRIME variants co-branded with various banks will be affected.
This change follows an earlier decision to withdraw similar insurance from SBI Card's own premium cards.
Cardholders are advised to consider standalone insurance and review their credit card terms.
