Odisha Announces DA Hike for PSU Employees and Pensioners
The government of Odisha has decided to give a little extra money to its employees and retirees to help them with the increasing cost of things.
This extra money is called Dearness Allowance (DA) for employees and Dearness Relief for pensioners.
The DA is going up by 2%, meaning they'll get a bit more with their regular pay.
This change is to help them buy the things they need as prices go up.
This decision affects about 8.5 lakh people, and the extra money will start from the beginning of the year.
Odisha's Chief Minister announced a DA increase for state-run PSU employees.
The DA will increase by 2%, raising it to 55% of basic salary.
The increase benefits approximately 8.5 lakh employees and pensioners.
The enhanced DA is effective retrospectively from January 1.
The move aims to offset rising living costs and boost purchasing power.
