Costa Coffee Shrinks Store Count in India

Costa Coffee, a British coffee chain owned by The Coca-Cola Company, has reduced its store count in India to 198 in FY26 from 220 in FY25.

This is the first decline in over five years.

Despite the reduction, Costa Coffee's revenue grew by 7% to ₹212.5 crore in FY26.

The company is focusing on a more disciplined and selective approach to expansion, targeting premium, out-of-home coffee culture among Gen-Z and millennials.

Costa Coffee competes with international and local chains in India's growing cafe market.
