Gold Climbs Above $4,400 as Traders Eye US Inflation

Gold is a shiny metal that people like to buy when they feel worried about money.

Right now, one ounce of gold costs more than $4,400.

That is the highest price it has been in two months.

Gold got more expensive because traders are excited about new numbers coming out about how much prices are going up.

Soon, the government will share a report about rising prices.

If prices rise too fast, the country's central bank might make borrowing more expensive.

Some leaders at that bank say they may need to raise rates several times.

Gold is also higher because some people are worried about a war with a country called Iran.

Still, gold costs about 17% less than it did before that war started.
