ISRO Launches Heaviest US Satellite

ISRO, India's space agency, is launching a very big and heavy satellite called BlueBird Block-2.

This satellite is owned by a company in the US called AST SpaceMobile and will help people use their phones for 4G and 5G internet anywhere in the world.

The launch is happening on December 24 from a place called Sriharikota.

The satellite weighs 6,100 kg, which is the heaviest payload ever launched by an Indian rocket.

The rocket used is called LVM3-M6 and it is 43.5 meters tall.

This is a special mission because it's the first time an Indian rocket is launching a satellite for an American company.

The satellite will be placed high above the Earth, about 520 km up.

The ISRO chairman even prayed at a temple for good luck before the launch.

AST SpaceMobile has already launched five other satellites and plans to launch more to make sure everyone can use their phones almost anywhere.
