Paytm Seeks More Time, Flexibility for Unused IPO Funds

Paytm Seeks More Time, Flexibility for Unused IPO Funds

Paytm raised money through its IPO to invest in its business.

It received Rs 8,119.4 crore in net IPO proceeds.

The company says Rs 6,433.4 crore has been used, leaving Rs 1,686 crore.

Some of the unused money was originally reserved for new businesses, acquisitions and partnerships.

Paytm now wants to use part of it for its main payments and financial-services businesses too.

It says these businesses have grown through investments in customers, merchants and technology.

Paytm also wants two more years, until March 2029, to use the money.

Shareholders must approve the plan at the company’s AGM.
