Odisha Mission Shakti Partners to Support Women Weavers
Odisha's government is working with the Weavers' Service Centre to help women weavers.
They signed an agreement to teach women new skills in design, training, and how to sell their products.
This will help women create products that people want to buy, like clothes and home decorations.
The plan includes developing new designs, assisting in creating prototypes, and guiding the women on how to make their businesses successful, including support for better photography and online selling.
Odisha's Mission Shakti and Weavers' Service Centre partnered to aid women weavers.
The MoU focuses on design mentoring, training, and market links for women-led SHGs.
This partnership will strengthen the textile value chain across Odisha.
Collaboration includes creating new designs for apparel and home decor.
Weavers’ Service Centre will aid prototype development and offer guidance.
