SJVN Commissions 75 MW Jamui Solar Power Project in Bihar

A company in India called SJVN has finished building a big solar power plant in Jamui, a district in the state of Bihar.

Solar power plants make electricity from sunlight.

This plant can produce 75 megawatts of electricity, which is enough to power many homes.

It is expected to make about 90 million units of electricity in its first year.

Over 25 years, it will make more than 3,500 million units in total.

The plant was built on about 300 acres of land and cost around 342 crore rupees.

The electricity will be sold to the state of Bihar at about 2.96 rupees per unit.

The plant also helps the environment by reducing carbon emissions, and it has created some jobs for local people.

This is one more step toward India's goal of having lots of clean, renewable energy by 2030.
