EPFO Urges Employers to Enrol Uncovered Workers Under Special Drive

The EPFO is asking employers to help workers who were missed by the provident fund system.

A special campaign lets companies enrol eligible workers in the EPF system.

It covers workers who were left out between April 1, 2009, and March 31, 2026.

Employers can use the campaign until October 31, 2026.

A worker must be alive and still working for the company when the employer makes the declaration.

The campaign can help workers receive provident fund, pension, and insurance benefits.

Employers may receive some relief for past mistakes, including a possible waiver of the worker’s share if it was not deducted earlier.

Companies must check their employment and wage records to find eligible workers.

They must complete the process online using the UMANG App and the ECR platform.
