Supreme Court Seeks Witness Statements in Amit Shah Acquittal Plea

The Supreme Court is reviewing a challenge to Amit Shah’s discharge in the Sohrabuddin case.

A bench led by Chief Justice Surya Kant is examining whether the earlier acquittals should be reconsidered.

The judges want to read statements from important witnesses.

They asked the parties to submit three or four especially important statements.

The court said it would not call for the entire case record yet.

This means the judges are gathering specific information before making a decision.

The court has not said that the acquittals will be changed.

It will first decide whether the case deserves further interference.
