Chopra: Captaincy Change Won't Fix India Women's Team Issues

Anjum Chopra, a former captain of the Indian women's cricket team, believes that changing the captain is not the solution to the team's problems.

She argues that the team lacks quality back-up players in batting, pace, and spin departments.

Another former captain, Mithali Raj, suggests grooming young players like Shafali Verma for future captaincy roles.

Chopra also highlighted the team's struggle to find a 13th player for the 2025 ODI World Cup, indicating a lack of depth beyond the core 12 players.

She emphasized the need for more options in the team to achieve optimal results, citing Australia as an example of a team with many options for every position.
