India’s eSanjeevani Crosses 50 Crore Teleconsultations
eSanjeevani is India’s service for talking to healthcare providers online.
By September 15, 2026, it had recorded more than 50 crore consultations.
People can use it in 15 languages, and it handles about 2.5 to 3 lakh consultations each day.
Women made up 57.14% of its users, and many older people used it too.
The service connects with India’s emergency response system.
It also uses an AI tool to support healthcare providers during consultations.
Patients can get some specialist consultations from home through AIIMS Jodhpur, AIIMS Jammu and AIIMS Patna.
These services are intended to make medical help easier to reach, especially for people who would otherwise travel long distances.
eSanjeevani recorded 50,00,92,730 teleconsultations, crossing 50 crore on September 15, 2026, across all 36 states and Union Territories.
The platform supports more than 1.42 lakh Ayushman Arogya Mandir spokes, 19,473 medical hubs, 901 online OPDs and 2,41,923 registered healthcare providers.
It offers services in 15 languages and handles about 2.5–3 lakh consultations daily; its highest single-day total was 6,30,315.
Women accounted for 57.14% of consultations, while people aged 46 and above accounted for 40.15%, including 16.25% aged 60 and above.
Developments include integration with ERSS-112, an AI-powered clinical decision support system and specialist teleconsultations through three AIIMS institutions.
