Maharashtra to increase MHT-CET registration fees
The Maharashtra CET Cell wants to make the registration fees for their entrance exams a bit more expensive.
Right now, students pay between Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 to take these tests, which are needed to get into different college programs like engineering, pharmacy, and more.
The CET Cell is suggesting an increase of Rs 150 to Rs 250, depending on the exam.
This change is still being reviewed and hasn't been approved yet.
The exams can be taken on paper or on a computer, and the fees are different for each type.
Maharashtra CET Cell proposes increasing registration fees for MHT-CET by Rs 150-250.
Current fees range from Rs 500 to Rs 1,000 depending on the exam type.
The proposal is under review by the higher and technical education department.
MHT-CET covers 19 entrance exams for 72 undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
Pen-and-paper exams cost Rs 500-600, while computer-based tests cost Rs 800-1,000.
