Top Indian Firms Lose ₹2.74 Lakh Crore
Last week, nine out of the top ten biggest companies in India saw their market value drop by a huge amount, totaling ₹2.74 lakh crore.
This happened because the stock market was doing poorly, with the Sensex and Nifty indices both falling.
Experts say this was due to worries about higher oil prices, political tensions, and mixed earnings reports.
HDFC Bank was hit the hardest, losing ₹1.18 lakh crore in value.
Other big companies like Reliance Industries, State Bank of India, and ICICI Bank also saw their values decrease.
The only company that gained was Hindustan Unilever.
This drop in value is a big deal for investors and shows how the market can change quickly.

The Sensex and Nifty indices both fell, with the Sensex dropping 2,091.68 points (2.67%) and the Nifty declining 566.85 points (2.32%).
Experts attribute the market downturn to geopolitical tensions and rising crude oil prices.
