Understanding Grasshoppers: Differentiating Them From Locusts

Grasshoppers, called 'tidda' in Hindi, are like cousins to locusts.

They both look alike, with long legs, able to jump and fly.

The tricky part is telling them apart.

Locusts are actually grasshoppers that act different when they are in big groups.

Grasshoppers usually hang out alone or in small numbers, but locusts come in large groups and eat plants very quickly.

Understanding the difference is important.
