Bangladesh Police Seize Bomb Materials, Masks in Dhaka Raid

Police in Bangladesh arrested a man after a crude bomb exploded near a police station in Dhaka.

They say the man may have been involved, but the investigation is still continuing.

Officers found items that can be used to make crude bombs.

These included marbles, nails, tape, and a blender.

They also found 9,000 paper masks and elastic bands.

Police had begun investigating after the September 19 explosion.

A separate report warned that hundreds of suspected members of banned militant groups are still free.

This means authorities are concerned that militant activity could continue.
