2027 Cricket World Cup Schedule Sets India-Pakistan Clash
The 2027 Cricket World Cup will be held in South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe.
Fourteen teams will compete in 57 matches at 12 venues.
India’s first match is against Australia in Cape Town on October 7.
India will play Pakistan in Johannesburg three days later.
India’s other group opponents are Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and a qualifying team.
The best teams from the groups will move into a new stage called the Super 7.
The top four teams in that stage will reach the semi-finals.
The final is planned for Johannesburg on November 21.
The 2027 Men’s Cricket World Cup will feature 14 teams, 57 matches and 12 venues across South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe.
India begin their Group A campaign against defending champions Australia in Cape Town on October 7, 2027.
India play Pakistan in Johannesburg on October 10, followed by matches against Afghanistan, Qualifier A and Zimbabwe.
The top three teams in each group and the best fourth-placed team advance to the seven-team Super 7, with no group-stage points carried over.
The semi-finals are scheduled for November 17 and 18, and the final will be held in Johannesburg on November 21.
