NCLT Mumbai Approves Vidarbha Industries Merger With Adani Power

A tribunal in Mumbai approved the merger of Vidarbha Industries Power with Adani Power.

Vidarbha Industries is a company that runs a 600 MW power plant in Maharashtra.

This approval finishes the tribunal process for combining Adani Power with 10 subsidiaries.

The merger is planned to take effect from April 1, 2025.

The companies say combining them could make management simpler.

They also expect it could reduce duplicate costs and help them use resources better.

No new Adani Power shares will be issued for shares already held by Adani Power and its nominees.

Adani Power’s resolution plan for Vidarbha Industries was approved in 2025 and upheld on appeal in January.
