Jaipur's Villa Palladio Resort Sealed for Land Encroachment
Imagine a beautiful, fancy hotel in Jaipur called Villa Palladio that looked like a movie set.
It was very popular.
But, the government found that the hotel was built on land it wasn't supposed to be.
The hotel built paths, stables for horses, a gate and kiosks on government land.
So, the government had to shut down the hotel.
This happened because the hotel didn't follow the rules about where it could build things.
Villa Palladio, a luxury resort near Jaipur, was sealed by the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA).
The sealing occurred on September 15 due to illegal encroachment on government land.
The resort had built illegal structures, including paths and stables, on the land.
The JDA had previously issued notices and the case was dismissed by the JDA appellate tribunal.
The website indicates bookings are available from October 8.
