Italy’s new far-right party overtakes Forza Italia in polls

Italy’s new far-right party overtakes Forza Italia in polls

A new political party in Italy is becoming more popular very quickly.

The party is called Futuro Nazionale and is led by Roberto Vannacci.

A poll gave it 7.5% support, slightly more than Forza Italia’s 7.1%.

It also ranked above the League, which had 5.7%.

Vannacci’s party strongly opposes mass migration and supports traditional values.

Its growth may take voters away from Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s coalition.

Meloni’s Brothers of Italy remains the most popular party, but its support has fallen recently.

The new party has not decided whether it will join Meloni’s coalition.

Italy’s government is also advancing an electoral reform that critics say could help Meloni, while the government says it would create more stable governments.
