Madhya Pradesh Teacher Aspirants’ Hunger Strike Reaches Fifteenth Day

Madhya Pradesh Teacher Aspirants’ Hunger Strike Reaches Fifteenth Day

Teacher job candidates in Madhya Pradesh have been protesting for 15 days.

They are holding a hunger strike in Bhopal.

They want the government to fill more advertised teacher jobs.

They also want counselling, which is part of the appointment process, to resume.

Some Category-1 candidates say only 2,901 of 8,720 posts were filled.

They say 5,819 posts are still waiting for counselling.

Former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh visited and supported them.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav praised teachers and described steps to improve education.

The protesters say these steps are not enough unless the pending hiring is completed.
