World Post Day Traces Communication’s Journey From Letters to Digital Messages
World Post Day happens on October 9.
It is a chance to learn how people communicated before smartphones and instant messages.
They often sent letters and postcards to people who lived far away.
Postal workers and transport systems helped carry and sort the mail.
Letters could share personal news, documents and invitations.
Today, people can send digital messages very quickly.
Postal services still deliver letters, parcels and other physical items.
Schools can celebrate by writing letters or making postcards.
Students can also compare handwritten and digital messages.
World Post Day is observed on October 9.
Letters and postcards once helped people stay connected across distances.
Delivering mail involved postal workers, transport systems and sorting centres.
