Trump’s 50% Tariffs Hit Hundreds of Canadian Products

Trump’s 50% Tariffs Hit Hundreds of Canadian Products

The United States has placed a large new tax on more than 550 products from Canada.

These products include food, clothes, makeup, electronics, toys and hockey equipment.

The tax is called a tariff.

American businesses importing Canadian products must pay it.

Some businesses may charge shoppers more to help cover the cost.

Canada says it will respond with matching taxes on some products from the United States.

The two countries are also arguing about cars, steel and other trade rules.

This could make the trade fight bigger and affect workers and shoppers in both countries.
