Election Commission Introduces Real-time Voter Turnout System
The Election Commission is making it easier and faster to find out how many people are voting.
They're using a new system where officials at each voting place will enter the numbers directly into a computer app called ECINET every two hours.
This is a big change from the old way, which took longer.
The new system will also allow the officials to enter the final vote count as soon as the polls close, which gives faster results.
The goal is to keep the process transparent and improve public trust.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) launched a new tech-driven system.
Presiding officers (PROs) will enter data into the ECINET app every two hours.
This system aims to reduce delays in reporting voter turnout data.
Final voter turnout data will be entered immediately after polls close.
The updated VTR App will be fully operational before the Bihar assembly elections.
