Uncertainty Surrounds Venue for 2025 Chess World Cup
The International Chess Federation (FIDE) is organizing the World Cup, a big chess tournament.
They haven't picked a place to hold it yet.
Some people think it might be in Delhi or Goa.
The tournament is planned for late 2025.
There's a little bit of a problem because the people in charge of Indian chess are having a disagreement.
It's about which chess groups are officially recognized.
This disagreement might affect the tournament.
FIDE has not announced the venue for the upcoming World Cup.
The event is scheduled to take place between October 31 and November 27, 2025.
Delhi and Goa are potential venues, but no official decision has been made.
A power struggle within the All India Chess Federation (AICF) may impact the event.
The power struggle involves the recognition of the All Bihar Chess Association.
