CM Siddaramaiah Criticizes LPG Price Hike
The Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah, is upset about the recent increase in the price of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 111.
He says this will make food more expensive and hurt small businesses like tea shops, small hotels, and street vendors.
He also questions why petrol and diesel prices haven't gone down even though global oil prices have fallen.
He believes the central government is not being fair to the states, as Karnataka gives a lot of money to the central government but gets very little in return.
He thinks the government should be more fair and caring towards the people and the states.
Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah criticized the Rs 111 hike in commercial LPG cylinder prices.
He stated that the price increase will negatively impact small businesses and common people.
Siddaramaiah questioned the central government's logic on fuel pricing, noting that petrol and diesel prices remain high despite falling global crude oil prices.
He alleged fiscal injustice towards states, claiming Karnataka contributes significantly more to the national exchequer than it receives.
The CM also criticized the central government for increasing the financial burden on states, including a 40% cost share for MNREGA.
