Karnataka Offers More Financial Aid for Road Accident Victims
Imagine you get hurt in a car accident.
The government already helps pay for your immediate medical care.
Now, the state of Karnataka is offering more help!
They're adding an extra 1 lakh rupees to the 1.5 lakh rupees already available to help cover costs if you need care for a longer time, especially if you need special equipment like a ventilator or have serious injuries.
This extra money is for cases where the initial help doesn't cover everything.
The program is specifically for road accident victims.
The state hopes this extra money will help people get the care they need without worrying too much about how to pay for it.
The Karnataka government approved an additional Rs 1 lakh in financial aid for road accident victims.
This is in addition to the existing Rs 1.5 lakh benefit provided by the CTRAV scheme.
The decision followed a proposal from the Suvarna Arogya Suraksha Trust.
The scheme is for those needing critical care beyond the initial 7 days of the CTRAV.
The scheme will be implemented within the existing budgetary allocation of the state.
