ISRO’s EOS-05 Satellite Reaches Geosynchronous Orbit for Observation

ISRO has placed a new satellite called EOS-05 in space.

It now travels in a high orbit that lets it watch the subcontinent almost continuously.

The satellite is between about 34,903 and 35,884 kilometers above Earth.

ISRO completed the final step to raise its orbit on September 7, 2026.

The satellite’s engine worked for 1,247 seconds during that step.

ISRO says the satellite is healthy.

Teams will check its systems over the next few days.

Then it is expected to take pictures for weather forecasting and Indian Navy needs.
