Heavy Rain Raises Flood Threat Across Madhya Pradesh

Heavy rain has caused flooding problems in parts of Madhya Pradesh.

Rivers near Satna, Rewa and Chitrakoot are carrying much more water than usual.

The Mandakini River is almost two metres above its danger level.

Water has covered some roads, houses and about 300 shops.

A bridge collapsed and another road was blocked after the rain.

Officials have warned people in 36 villages near the Simrawal River.

Rescue teams and police are watching dangerous areas and preparing to help.

Weather officials expect more heavy rain until September 4.
