Congress Infighting in Asifabad District Gives Edge to BRS

Congress Infighting in Asifabad District Gives Edge to BRS

The Congress party is one of the big political parties in India.

In a part of Telangana called Asifabad district, some of its top leaders are not getting along.

They are fighting with each other instead of working together.

A woman named Atram Suguna was made the leader of the party's committee in the district.

Some other leaders were unhappy about that choice.

They say she makes decisions by herself and only cares about one area.

Because of all the fighting, the party lost some local elections to another party called BRS.

Some people even held a protest in Hyderabad, asking for Suguna to be removed from her job.

Older party leaders say the fighting hurts the Congress party's image and that everyone should talk politely to solve their problems.
