Singapore Tops 2025 Passport Index; India Ranks 77th
Imagine passports are like keys that let you visit different countries.
Some keys open lots of doors (countries), and some open only a few.
In 2025, Singapore has the best key, letting you visit almost everywhere without needing a visa.
Japan and South Korea are next, also with very strong keys.
The US and UK, which used to have strong keys, are now a bit further down the list.
India's key has improved, opening more doors.
Afghanistan's key, however, opens the fewest doors.
Singapore has the most powerful passport, offering visa-free access to 193 countries in 2025.
Japan and South Korea tie for second place, granting visa-free access to 190 destinations.
The United States and United Kingdom have dropped in rankings, now 10th and 6th respectively.
India's passport has improved, moving up to 77th place, with visa-free access to 59 countries.
Afghanistan holds the title of the weakest passport, with visa-free access to only 25 countries.
