Ancient Terracotta Dabber From Pre-Satavahana Period Found in Nalgonda

A team looking for old historical objects found a small clay tool in a field.

The tool is called a terracotta dabber.

It is about 2,000 years old.

It was made before the Satavahana period.

Pottery makers used tools like this to shape the inside of clay pots.

The discovery was made at Appajipeta in Nalgonda district.

Similar tools have been found in Uttar Pradesh and date back to 200–600 BC.

The team believes more old objects may be found if scientists continue exploring the area.
